[b]Matala[/b] is a one woman, one laptop group from Helsinki, Finland. Ona Kamu channels that endless buzz to compositions of beauty. Her music resonates the silent, sinuous moments of immediate, delicate presence. Still life, a voice close to you. The songs bring in mind tones of folk music taken into an electronic context. Sounds of the accordion and little physical gadgets blend with idm-styled computer rhythmics and Ona's singing.
